Room Acoustic Analysis

In this snapshot, we’re performing the initial acoustic analysis of the room. The starting point involves careful placement and alignment of the main speakers to ensure they are optimally positioned within the listening environment. Using advanced measurement tools and software, we assess the room’s acoustic characteristics, including frequency response, early reflections, and sound pressure levels.  This analysis is crucial for identifying problem areas like uneven bass response or excessive reverberation. By collecting precise data, we establish a baseline to guide our treatment strategy and tailor the room’s acoustic properties to the client’s preferences. With these insights, we can then implement targeted solutions such as absorption panels, bass traps, and diffusers to achieve a balanced and immersive listening experience.

3D Acoustic Design

Welcome to our dedicated Hi-Fi listening room project for our client Sarone, project number 2462. In this room, we provided a comprehensive acoustic solution, including a 3D acoustic design, room acoustic analysis, product installation, and post-installation fine-tuning of speaker setups and bass traps.

Artnovion Mobile Wall Kits Bass traps Assembly & Testing

During the assembly of the Artnovion Mobile Wall Kit Bass Traps, positioning each module to target low-frequency issues in the room. The modular design allows for flexible placement, making it ideal for temporary installations or situations where wall mounting is not feasible. Each unit is carefully stacked and aligned to ensure stability and optimal acoustic performance, addressing bass build-up and creating a balanced sound environment.

The modular design allows for flexible placement, making it ideal for temporary installations or situations where wall mounting is not feasible. This step is crucial in fine-tuning their placement and settings for maximum efficiency, resulting in a well-balanced and controlled bass response.

Precision Acoustic Treatment Installation: Tailoring the Room for Optimal Sound Performance


We’re starting the acoustic treatment installation with the Artnovion Avalon Hybrid Absorber Diffusers on the front wall. These panels offer a perfect balance of absorption and diffusion, enhancing clarity and soundstage in the room. Proper installation is crucial for achieving optimal performance and sound quality.

Final touches of the installation of the front wall Avalon absorber/diffusers. Each panel is mounted carefully to achieve accurate diffusion and balanced sound dispersion across the listening area.

Here, we’re installing the Artnovion Lagos Diffusers and Sparta Absorbers on the ceiling. These treatments enhance the room’s acoustic clarity by breaking up sound reflections and controlling reverberations, creating an optimal listening environment for this dedicated HiFi room.

Bass Trap Tuning

After the successful installation of the acoustic treatment, the next crucial step was to fine-tune the bass traps to address specific low-frequency issues. This stage involved detailed measurements and real-time analysis using specialized software and measurement microphones to capture the room’s acoustic behavior. We focused on identifying and minimizing resonant frequencies that caused unwanted peaks and dips, ensuring that the bass response was even and well-controlled.

The tuning process was iterative, requiring adjustments to the positioning and calibration of each bass trap to achieve the desired effect. By carefully balancing the interaction of the bass traps with the room’s natural modes, we managed to eliminate excessive low-frequency buildup and significantly improve the overall clarity and precision of the sound. This tuning stage is essential for creating a balanced listening environment, especially in rooms where low-end accuracy is a priority for high-fidelity music reproduction.

This stage also sets the foundation for further multi-subwoofer optimization, which will be covered in a separate blog and article, highlighting the synergy between advanced acoustic treatment and speaker integration.

Final Room Reveal and Acoustic Product Breakdown

The final result of the Sarone HiFi Listening Room is a space transformed not just visually but acoustically. With precise placement and tailored acoustic treatment, we achieved a refined listening environment that captures every nuance of sound. The room's sleek aesthetics blend with high-performance acoustic elements, making it an ideal space for both critical listening and immersive sound experiences.

We installed a series of carefully selected ArtNovion products to optimize sound absorption, diffusion, and bass management, ensuring a balanced and smooth frequency response throughout the room. The combination of hybrid absorbers, diffusers, and bass traps works harmoniously to tame reflections and eliminate unwanted resonances, creating a clean, controlled sound signature.
